This team develops and maintains processes, applications, systems and software that work together to ensure data security at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We monitor for and address cyberthreats, develop code to meet security standards, and engineer solutions that protects the cybersecurity health of the campus. 

Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC)

The Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) actively monitors the cybersecurity posture of the University and responds to incidents and threats as they are identified. We strive to be both proactive in detecting problems before they become a major threat, and also responsive to mitigate malicious activity that is occurring before it significantly impacts University resources.

Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Engineering

We build and support tools, processes, and abilities that enhance the overall cybersecurity of the University and its constituents. We work with the Privacy & Cybersecurity Team, Technology Services, and the broader campus community. Our team is the point of contact for all things cybersecurity related. If we don’t know the answer, we will get it to the right people or work with you to find it.

Cybersecurity Software Development and Assurance helps developers prepare code with a security posture in mind. We help development teams associated with the University of Illinois fulfill their responsibility to comply with Illinois Cybersecurity standards.
