What videoconferencing data we collect
User information
Your name, email address and other contact information needed for participation in meetings and collaboration.
Device information
IP address, MAC address, device type, operating system type and version.
Usage information
Meeting routing information and other meeting and video metadata.
User content
Recordings of your voice, image, and surroundings (ONLY IF ENABLED), chat messages, uploaded files, speech-to-text transcripts (ONLY IF ENABLED) and other in-meeting shared content.

Technology Services does not sell or rent your videoconferencing data.
Sharing with service providers
Videoconference service providers have access to your personal data and recordings, which they collect on behalf of the university. We do not allow our service providers to rent or sell your information. We require them to keep it secure and use it only for providing services on the university’s behalf.
Sharing with meeting hosts and participants
Messages and content you share in meetings are made available to all participants, including external participants. Meeting hosts have access to meeting recordings. Hosts are responsible for notifying you if they are recording a meeting.
Personal information may also be shared when required by law, or to protect the safety, property, or rights of the university, its community members and guests.
